Tang Chor Hui
A single parent to two young children, Mdm Tang is determined to build financial stability and self-reliance to support her family.
Being a single parent can come with its own set of challenges. With limited support from her family and difficulty in securing stable employment, Mdm Tang found herself struggling financially while caring for her young ones.
Fortunately, Mdm Tang found support from AWWA Family Service Centre (FSC), a programme supported by Community Chest which helped her with her application for a rental flat, childcare subsidy, and other suitable assistance schemes. Mdm Tang also received counselling support for her family issues and stress in caring for her children.
Mdm Tang continues to share the challenges she faces with her social worker from AWWA FSC and turns to him for a listening ear. She is working towards securing stable employment and to be financially stable in the long term.
