Nadiyah found strength in connecting with other mothers at the shelter and participating in HCSA Community Services’ SPIN (Single Parents INformed, INvolved and INcluded), a programme supported by Community Chest.

PROGRAMME TYPES WE SUPPORT

Family Service Centres

11,121 individuals supported by family service centres improved or remained stable in areas such as family functioning or interpersonal issues, compared to when they first sought help.

Family Support Programmes

1,535 clients reported improved parenting/ grandparenting skills after attending support programmes

5,752 parents reported being aware of the impact of divorce on their children and/or having a better understanding of how they can be a better parent to their children.

Quality of Life

More than half of service users¹ had significant improvements² in their QOL after receiving support from the programmes.

²Using simple difference, over 4 in 5 of service users had improvements in their QOL. The reported figure (more than half) was derived using Reliable Change Index (RCI).
