The annual Community Chest Awards (CCA) honours organisations and individuals who have made outstanding contributions to the social service sector to care for the less fortunate within our community.
At the Community Chest Awards 2021, 190 donors and partners were honoured for their significant contributions to Community Chest and its five supported causes in FY2020. Held in a hybrid ceremony, the segment at the Istana was presided by Guest-of-Honour, President Halimah Yacob, and hosted by Minister for Social and Family Development Masagos Zulkifli.
To ensure that communities-in-need could continue to receive the help they need, our donors and partners generously offered their time and resources and found innovative ways to collaborate despite COVID-19 restrictions. The importance of innovation and collaboration among the 3P sectors to empower underprivileged groups was also showcased in two pre-recorded programme items during the Awards ceremony - a joint musical performance by musicians from the Nanyang Academy of Fine Arts (NAFA) School of Music and students from Metta School’s Ukulele Ensemble, and a music video produced by students from APSN Tanglin School’s Multi-Media Club.
We are grateful for our partners’ sustained support to uplift the lives of those in need of assistance. It is with their dedication towards the social service sector, that we can enable service users to achieve their potential and flourish.
