"Sharity Day was a good experience for my peers to interact with and understand more about persons with special needs."
- Ng Wei Jie, Secondary 4 River Valley High School
This year, Community Chest extended its Sharity programme to pre-schools to instil care and share values in pre-schoolers and expanded its engagement of secondary school students through volunteering. Held at Gardens by the Bay, the event saw nearly 1,200 pre-schoolers, primary school students, special needs students and secondary school students interacting and learning alongside one another.
For the first time, secondary school students volunteered as game facilitators, which enabled them to mentor younger children, and their peers with special needs.
