Matching Grant

Matching Grant

Under the SHARE as One programme, the Government will provide dollar-for-dollar matching for any additional donations through SHARE, over and above the amount donated in the preceding year up to Financial Year 2025.

Qualifying for the Matching Grant

When your organisation enhances its volunteer capability and capacity building functions, the matching grant managed by Community Chest to benefit the social service sector will be enabled for your organisation to use (up to a cap of $10,000 per organisation) in offsetting costs associated with conducting the enhancement activities or initiatives. Social service agencies will need to submit Grant Calls, and subsequently Grant Claims for approved proposals, in order to enable the grant.

Claiming the Matching Grant

Grant claim is on a reimbursement basis. Your organisation can submit your Grant Call form in November or May. If your Grant Call proposal is approved, you will be notified within 2 months after Grant Call closure. Your organisation may then proceed to conduct the approved activity or initiative. Once the activity or initiative has concluded, you may then submit a Grant Claim in April or October. Form and templates are available on our website. For more details and templates, refer to Guide to Grant Claims.
